This place is such a gem!! The buttermilk pancakes were the best I've ever had. Phenomenal. Fluffy and warm syrup on the side. The staff is beyond kind and make me want to come again. Only note was the eggs were really whatever and that's a key part.

Wow.. coming for LA I always thought we had it all but Elmer's is the bomb! The family ordered their potato pancake looking combo and my god. It's like a baked potato but a pancake and for breakfast. Everything was perfect and just like the photos on the menu. Service was on point. I forgot out servers name but he got me a refill without even asking. Came and checked up to make sure everything was good. Elmer's is the place to go for the best breakfast in Southern California hands down

I can see why Elmer's has been around for so many years. It seems like favorite for locals and visitors like us. Cute diner type vibe. Service was good too. The half BLTA sandwich and cup of clam chowder soup was good. The huge German pancake with blueberry compote and bananas was tasty. Will come back next time we're in town.

I wanted to try Elmer's specifically for their GERMAN PANCAKE. Loved it!! Pancake was thin as how I like it, it had powder sugar and a few mixed berries on it along with 2 eggs and choice meat on the side. Huge breakfast for one but delicious! Great Value for my money ...I had German pancake elsewhere for the same price but didn't come with eggs & meat Our server was very good and attentive BUT when asked how big is the German pancake, his response was 'around 8 to 10 inches' he was wrong. The pancake show up at 12-14 inches in diameter. Happy to say, it's one of the few times when my food order is bigger than I anticipated. Elmer's has a nice vibe where many patrons are locals

Looking for a good brunch place in Palm Springs? You are at the right place! This is a very popular brunch place. We came here on a Saturday morning when we are visiting. The parking lot was full, so we had to park on the street, which luckily still had some spots left. The wait wasn't too bad although it looked like there were about 10 to 15 groups waiting outside. When we got called, we walked in and saw this traditional brunch dinner place. It felt so warm and comfy. The service was great! Very quick and attentive. The menu is impressive that has almost everything American brunch items that you can think of is on their menu. We ordered two of their popular items, German Pancake and Potato Cakes. Amazing German pancakes! We really loved it. The consistency and texture of the German pancake was just perfect. It's not as dense as American pancakes. The simple flavor of butter, lemon, and powder sugar was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it! The Potato Cakes were good too, but the flavor was much heavier. With the bacon inside the cake, it tasted great, but got heavy pretty quickly. Delicious bacon with cream and hash brown. The portions here are very big, so consider sharing plates next time and not waste food. I will totally come back here again next time we are in Palm Springs.

This breakfast spot in Palm Springs is a true gem! The food is absolutely fantastic, with the German pancake being the undeniable star of the menu. It's perfectly fluffy, with lemony flavors that are to die for--truly a must-try. The rest of the menu doesn't disappoint either; everything we ordered was delicious. We went as a large group, and despite the busyness, the service was incredible--friendly, attentive, and efficient. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the wait. There's always a line, especially on weekend mornings, so be prepared to wait a bit before getting seated. That said, the food is worth it, and I'll definitely be coming back!

Elmer's was listed in a local publication as having 'the best breakfast' in the area. We were quickly seated at our choice of a booth or table, and our drink orders were taken. They have an extensive menu that took a few minutes to peruse their selections. There is light music playing in the background. We both decided on the Crabacado Omelet. It is a huge 3-egg omelet filled with Dungeness crab, smokehouse bacon, fresh avocado, Swiss cheese, topped with tomato, classic Hollandaise sauce and fresh-snipped chives. We usually order the Hollandaise sauce on the side as the eggs can be either too sparsely topped or completely laden with the heavy sauce. The Crabacado was well constructed and well-filled with ingredients that melded together perfectly. No skimping here. Cutting down on carbs, I choose the fruit as my side instead of hashbrown potatoes. I got to taste Elmer's hashbrowns, and the flavor was the best I've had. They are slivered cuts of potatoes instead of a pressed formation almost every other restaurant serves. The hashbrowns were crispy and delicious. The toast and flaky biscuit were fresh and hot.
